Limited Warranty

DESCRIPTION
OF WARRANTY:
Kitco, Inc.
(KI), warrants any running board that the fiberglass structure of these parts
will be free from defects in material and workmanship during normal use and when
installed in a proper manner.
This
warranty shall be in effect for a period of 36 months or 36,000 miles; whichever
comes first, from the date of the original retail purchase.
EXCLUSIONS
FROM WARRANTY:
1. If the
KI fiberglass parts are not properly installed; and/or,
2. If the
KI fiberglass parts have been removed and reinstalled; and/or,
3. If any
defect, malfunction or damage is caused by accident, normal wear (i.e., rock
chips, etc.), installation, installation of accessories, alterations,
unreasonable use, off road use, vandalism, abuse, acts of God or application of
abrasive or strong chemical cleaners.
KITCO'S
OBLIGATION UNDER LIMITED WARRANTY:
If during
the applicable warranty period, the KI fiberglass component is found by the KI
to be defective due to materials of workmanship, KI shall have the option
to repair or replace the original part without charge. KI will pay up to a
maximum of $80.00 per side, i.e., driver's or passenger, for repair (which
includes paint, repairs, installation and/or labor) of running boards in the
first 12 months/ 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, only. After12
months/12,000 miles, whichever comes first, replacement of unfinished running
board only.
This
warranty gives specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which
vary from state to state.
PURCHASER'S
OBLIGATION:
Prior
approval must be obtained and
Warranty Number issued for all claims. Warranty authorization number must appear
on all claims submit. NOT FOLLOWING THESE PROCEDURES WILL DISQUALIFY ANY
AND ALL CLAIMS.
KI will not
be bound by any promises, representation or warranties made by ant dealer,
retailer or other person that is not contained in this warranty.
Prior to
initial contact with KI, policy requires our customers to have available the
following information from the dealer/claimant (if needed: Dealer name, address
phone number and contacting party; the model, year, mileage, serial number and
color of the unit; the type and cause of the problem. It may also be required
to send photographs of defective area to KI for inspection.
It is KI'S
desire to handle all warranty problems efficiently. Please follow our warranty
procedures to assure prompt handling. KI closely monitors our warranty repairs
in order to determine if we have a manufacturer's defect. Should it become
apparent that we have a consistent warranty problem, actions will be taken to
correct any manufacturer's defect used in our product immediately. Please be
sure authorization numbers are on replacement orders before submitting.
